Dear Dr. Sharada,

I really want to thank you for putting together this Ayurvedic cleanse.  I had been suffering from bad digestion and headaches for years, and even though I knew there was something I could do to get healthier, I didn't know what it was.  I had heard of Ayurveda and I am the kind of person that trusts things that are more traditional, not the latest trendy detox.  So your cleanse appealed to me right away! Your instructions were really easy to follow.  I was surprised by how quickly I started to feel better.  My bloating went away within 2 days, along with my stomach aches.  I finished the cleanse yesterday and am looking forward to continuing on the herbs and repeating the cleanse in the fall.

Thanks,

Kimberly, retail manager and mother of 3

Cleansing has received a lot of attention as a health benefit lately, but how do you pick a cleanse that is effective, safe and convenient?

Bodhimed's Ayurvedic Cleanse is directly based on a proven Ayurvedic cleansing and rejuvenation program called "Panchakarma" that is over 2500 years old.

Traditionally, Panchakarma requires spending 4-8 weeks at an Ayurvedic clinic -- a wonderful healing opportunity, but too time and cost intensive for most people.

I’ve created Bodhimed's Ayurvedic Cleanse so that you can enjoy the benefits of Panchakarma without leaving home or spending much money. Everything you need is included in one convenient package!

You will receive:

  • All of the information you need to complete the cleanse, including a schedule, recipes, and detailed instructions.
  • A 30-day supply of your Ayurvedic herbal supplements directly from the manufacturer, including:
  • Triphala, the famous intestinal cleansing formula
  • Chyavanprash rejuvenative jam
  • Dashamula herbs for colon cleansing
  • Herbal Nasya oil for nasal administration.
  • Organic sesame oil for external and internal use as outlined in the instructions you’ll be given.

Dear Dr. Sharada,

I can't believe how much better I'm already feeling after just finishing your cleanse. I really felt nurtured instead of deprived, like I have with other detoxes.  I'm so much clearer in my head and I feel lighter in every way.  Thanks for taking the mystery out of Ayurveda for me, and making it something that will be a part of my life every day.

Thank you!

Brian, educator

One of the things people complain about with most detox programs is that they feel deprived and hungry.

With the Ayurvedic Home Cleanse, you can eat as much Kitchari as you'd likeRead more about kitchari here!

Most cleanses on the market today only purge your intestinal tract.  The Ayurvedic Home Cleanse is unique because this process removes toxins from the deeper tissues and organs, brings them to the intestines, and then effectively eliminates them.  This is the most comprehensive way to really cleanse.

**As a very special bonus, you will also receive my Introduction to Ayurveda video -- a 60 minute class I taught that explains the fundamental concepts in Ayurvedic medicine.**

Regardless of your Ayurvedic constitutional type, this cleanse will work for you! I've specifically made this program general and safe* for all types so that you don't need to worry whether this one is appropriate for your body type.

I am also available for phone and email consultations if you'd like to tailor it more specifically.

The Ayurvedic Home Cleanse is 100% GUARANTEED.  If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 90 days for a full refund.

Please note: Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a link to instantly download all of your instructions.  Your herbal supplies will be shipped directly from the manufacturer.  You will receive a separate email with the shipping and tracking details.

*You should NOT do the Ayurvedic Home Cleanse if you are under 7 years old, pregnant, anemic, menstruating, or with acute fever, diarrhea, severe weakness, heart pain, or paralysis.

ayurvedic cleanseDo you ever feel like you're walking and thinking in a mud bog?  Can you relate to feeling sluggish or stagnant, less vibrant than you know you can be?  Maybe you suffer from extra weight or allergies? All of these are symptoms of your system being clogged. Before doing my first Ayurvedic detox, my "normal" was congested, lazy, and bloated.  But after the cleanse, I experienced such a heightened level of mental clarity and physical vitality that I've made it something I do several times each year.  It's actually pretty easy, and totally worth it, to take 8 days of your life and do everything in a different, clean way.

The Root Cause of Disease

According to Ayurveda, the root cause of all disease is the accumulation of toxins produced by improper digestion.  The traditional method for removing deep-seated toxins is a seasonal cleanse called panchakarma.  Nowadays you can go to Ayurvedic spas and clinics worldwide and spend significant time and money receiving this 2500-year-old detox treatment.  You also can adapt these ancient principles and receive huge benefits by doing a home version on your own schedule.

ayurvedic kitchariOne of the hardest things about doing any kind of cleanse is feeling deprived and hungry. Ayurveda recommends eating a mono diet of the traditional dish called Kitchari while cleansing. It is nourishing and easy to digest. It allows the digestive fire to focus on  burning off old toxins instead of on the new food coming in. Here's a recipe you'll enjoy anytime, whether you're doing a cleanse, recovering from an illness, or simply giving your digestion a much needed break.

ayurvedic congeeI thought I could really go for the full 25 days that I had to do the Ejuva cleanse. I went with the ups and downs, energy level vacillating, observing hunger and moving past it, feeling good about myself for breaking habits and attachments. But last night I realized I was done. I was starting to hallucinate about junk food, and I knew that was a bad sign. I figured I should end it before I do something crazy like devour a bag of tortilla chips.

Practically speaking, it was the right thing to do. We're hitting the road for our end-of-summer road trip in two days, and I want to ease back into eating in the comfort of my own kitchen. As I've mentioned in previous posts and in my Nutrition article about Congee, Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine both view well-cooked, whole grains as being the easiest food to digest. So I began my day with congee and it was such a pleasure to chew! Warm, gooey, yummy and substantial.  I plan to eat mostly kitchari today, which I'll post a video of shortly. Kitchari is a traditional Ayurvedic dish commonly used during the cleansing and rejuvenation process called Panchakarma. Kitchari, sometimes called kitchadi, is a mix of basmati rice and split yellow mung beans cooked in ghee and plenty of water with spices such as turmeric, cumin, and coriander. It is nourishing but very easy to digest. It is so easy to assimilate, that the digestive fire can continue to work on burning off old toxins rather than focus on breaking down the new food coming in. It's the total opposite of the raw diet I've been on, but it will allow for further cleansing and a smooth transition back to eating cooked foods.

I'm so curious to see what habits I go back to and how my tastes have changed.  Will I still want chai every morning? Can I drink it without the traditional milk and raw sugar like I was used to?  Can I stay with the simpler flavors I've come to enjoy?

What eating habits would you like to break?  What do you feel you just couldn't go without? What foods make you feel best?

I'll be on the road for the next few weeks, but I'll try to post some fun stuff along the way. Happy nearly-end-of-summer!

I'm happy to say that I'm feeling quite good!  Maybe I've moved through a phase, because even with my two year old waking up vomiting at 4:30 a.m., my energy level was a lot better today.

I'm in Phase 2 of the Ejuva cleanse now, which means that I'm taking the herbs twice a day instead of once. The program recommends reducing meals during this week to twice a day, but since I'm kindof just eating as I get hungry, I'm continuing with this minimal intake diet. I'm not very hungry at all, probably because my choices aren't especially appetizing.  Don't get me wrong, I love fruit and veggies.  I'm just having some weird visceral reaction that makes anything raw, other than grapes, look kindof nauseating.

In addition to being super excited to see the results of doing a four week cleanse, my Ayurvedically trained mind needs to address a few concerns. Ayurveda teaches that an all raw diet can be aggravating to Vata dosha. Because raw foods are high in prana, in vital life force, and also in the elements air and space, it increases those elements within the body as well. So - summer is definitely the best time to do a raw food cleanse, so that we do not bring too much of the cold, dry Vata qualities into the system.

Also, Ayurveda teaches that unless one has strong agni, or digestive fire, the nutrients in raw food are not fully accessible. Part of why I'm doing this cleanse is to improve my agni, so I'm willing to go with this one and let the cleansing effects of a raw diet show themselves.

During a cleanse, it is less about optimal nutrition than during normal life. This is the time for putting as little new burden on the digestive process as possible so that the body's energy can be devoted to eliminating old toxins.

I'm trying to maintain an observer status of myself.  It's very interesting, and a little inconvenient, that I'm experiencing some repulsion toward all the raw hummus I spent 4 days preparing. Same goes for the walnut and veggie dip I made.  I just get totally turned off to it as soon as I sit down to eat. I'm doing ok with fruit and nuts, but even salad is just looking really unappetizing. I'm sure it's just a phase that will turn around. Or at least I'm hoping so, because I have 21 more days of this.  And I keep reminding myself that I've chosen this.

So what's for dinner?

raw chocolate drinkWell....I have to admit Day 4 was hard. I was hungry and I couldn't find anything to eat that was appealing.  I began my day enthusiastically at 6:15 a.m., rushing off to Kettlebell class. Bad move. I mustered every ounce of strength I had to make it through class, but by the end I felt really zapped. Now I realize I was definitely drawing on my reserves, and as a result I felt drained all day.

I found a bit of a boost in a delicious raw chocolate drink that I made from a recipe I surprisingly found in a United Airlines magazine this winter. Here's the recipe, just blend them all together in a blender on high speed until smooth:

12 oz. water

4 ice cubes

1 Tbs. raw cacao nibs or powder

1 Tbs raw almond butter

1 Tbs raw agave nectar

1 tsp. coconut oil

3 drops vanilla extract

pinch of pink Himalayan crystal salt
